Prequel: Enter Orion: Heart of the Diablo

Enter Orion focuses its attention on the agent, Derek Vico who we meet in the first Dillon Hunt book: Dillon Hunt and the Desert Oasis Resort. This is his backstory.

Derek Vico

Derek is a tortured man. He lost his wife, Samantha, two years earlier. She was a medical doctor who worked with the secret organization, The Orion Group, and was killed on a mission to discover a cure for a world-changing potential pandemic. Derek felt that Orion was responsible for her death and parted company with them even though they claimed that the operation’s failure wasn’t their fault.

The Orion Group was Derek’s life for many years as he was their top field agent, but the death of Samantha was too much for him. Since that day, Orion had tried everything to get the man back into their fold, but he remained resolute; that is, until Samantha’s sister, Brianna (who also works for Orion) had gone missing to find “The Heart of the Diablo” on a mission in South America.

Now Derek has to choose between the anger he feels for Orion, or the desire to save Brianna. Things heat up when he discovers that Tower Six, The Orion Group’s nemesis organization, is after “The Heart” as well.

Is he too late? Is Orion telling him everything he needs to know? What is this “Heart of the Diablo?” And why is Tower Six involved?
